March was a poor month for investors, with share markets falling in response to uncertainty around President Trump’s trade policies, which stirred up fears of a global trade war. As a result, global shares dropped 4.4% for the month. The U.S. market took a solid hit, with the S&P 500 falling 5.6%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq getting hammered with an 8.1% drop.
